Browse our curated stays, activities and recommendations, then send us the details of what you’re planning. We’ll help you explore suitable options and provide clear information before you decide whether to book.

Absolutely. Tell us your preferred dates, approximate group size, budget and the kind of weekend you have in mind. We can then help narrow down the places and experiences that make sense for your group.

Around six months before the weekend is a good starting point, particularly for larger groups or popular dates. Earlier is helpful where you have a specific property, activity or destination in mind.

No. An estimated group size is enough to begin exploring suitable options. We’ll let you know when your final numbers are needed and whether any later changes could affect the price or availability.

Yes. Group capacity varies between properties, venues and activities, so share your expected numbers with us and we’ll focus on options that can accommodate everyone comfortably.

Send us your details and we’ll guide you through the available options. You’ll receive clear pricing and booking information before making any commitment.

That’s the aim. Main Characters is designed to make it easier to organise the core parts of the weekend in one place rather than piecing everything together across several different websites.

We’re building the booking process so individual guests can pay their own share, rather than the organiser collecting money from the full group. The payment options available will be confirmed clearly before you book.

Instalment options may be available depending on the booking and how far in advance you’re travelling. Any payment schedule and deadlines will be shown before your booking is confirmed.

Browsing our recommendations and sending an initial enquiry is free. Any booking charges, deposits or payment fees will be clearly included in the price information you receive before booking.

Tell us as soon as possible. Whether the remaining balance changes will depend on the property, activity, group size and the terms attached to your booking.

Sometimes, provided the stay or activity still has capacity. Additional guests may affect the overall price, room arrangements or booking terms, so changes need to be agreed before anyone new is added.

Date changes are subject to availability and the terms of the individual booking. Any difference in price or amendment charges will be explained before a change is confirmed.

Cancellation terms vary between bookings and can depend on how close you are to the travel date. The relevant terms will be provided before you book, so you can see any deadlines and charges in advance.

This will depend on the booking terms attached to your chosen stay or activity. We’ll clearly explain whether a deposit is refundable before you confirm and pay.

We focus on places and experiences that are suitable for group celebrations. Any specific restrictions, house rules or group policies will be made clear before you book.

We look for places and experiences that feel distinctive, well-run and genuinely good for groups. We would rather feature a smaller collection we believe in than list every available option.

Where possible, we show an indicative per-person price to make comparing options easier. Your final quote will reflect your dates, group size, availability and the exact booking details.

Yes. You don’t need to book an entire weekend through Main Characters. You can enquire about an individual stay, activity or experience where that is all your group needs.
