England
A coastal city where pier cocktails lead to dancing till sunrise. Brighton’s infectious energy, from quirky lanes packed with independent bars to beachfront clubs, creates the perfect atmosphere for a hen weekend that feels refreshingly unconventional.
PLAN MY BRIGHTON HEN
Brighton’s inclusive, bohemian spirit means everyone feels instantly welcome, while its compact size makes it easy to move from pier cocktails to late-night dancing without spending half the weekend in taxis. Part traditional seaside resort, part creative cultural hub, it has that rare anything-goes energy where your group can properly let loose. Add the fact it’s just an hour from London and you’ve got a hen weekend that’s easy, walkable and very hard to forget.
WHERE TO STAY
Brighton’s city centre and seafront are the obvious places to base yourselves, with boutique hotels, apartments and group-friendly stays all within walking distance of the pier, The Lanes and the nightlife. For something a little quieter, Hove gives you more space while still keeping the centre within easy reach.
THINGS TO DO
Brighton is made for plans that feel a little less predictable. Think brunches, beachside drinks, cocktail classes, quirky group activities and enough independent spots to keep the weekend feeling genuinely different. It’s playful, easy-going and very hard to overplan.
BRUNCH
A long lunch, plenty of drinks and a very sensible way to get Saturday started.
TASTING
Very Scottish, considerably more sophisticated than shots, and actually worth remembering the next morning.
COCKTAILS
Shake, stir and make something considerably better than whatever you normally order at the bar.
EXPERIENCE
A little culture between cocktails, because apparently we’re capable of doing both.
NIGHT OUT
Start somewhere polished, finish somewhere considerably less organised. Exactly as it should be.
DRINKS
Tiny doors, very good cocktails and at least one bar somebody will insist they discovered first.
EAT + DRINK
Brighton does casual and cool exceptionally well. Start with somewhere around The Lanes, head towards the seafront for cocktails, then see which bar or club wins the group over next.
