Albourne Estate is close enough to Brighton to work as part of the weekend but far enough out to feel like you have briefly become people who make excellent life choices. The Sussex vineyard sits outside the city and gives you proper countryside, a working winery and wine that has not travelled very far at all.
The vineyard tour takes you through the vines and winery before finishing with four Albourne wines paired with local Sussex cheeses. It is relaxed, genuinely tied to where you are and particularly good for a two-night hen that has time for a slower Saturday afternoon before heading back into Brighton for dinner.

Public vineyard tours run at 11am and 2pm on most summer weekends and last around one hour and 45 minutes. Group size is capped at 22, while private tours and tastings can also be arranged directly if you need something more tailored.
Albourne is outside Brighton, so sort the journey home before the tasting rather than after it. The vineyard specifically warns that Uber may take you out from Brighton but will not collect from the estate, so a local taxi should be pre-booked for the return.
