Freight Island is brand new to Newcastle and already feels tailor-made for groups. The huge Newgate Street venue mixes multiple kitchens, bars and live music, so nobody has to agree on one cuisine before the booking has even started.
The bottomless deal is particularly useful: choose a dish from one of the kitchens, then settle into the Plant Room for 90 minutes of drinks with table service. Because the venue naturally shifts from eating to drinking to whatever is happening on stage, there is no awkward moment where twelve people collectively have to decide what happens next.

Bottomless currently costs £40 per person and runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with bookings available between midday and 7pm. Your table is held for two hours, with 90 minutes of bottomless drinks.
A Nitro Cocktail upgrade costs an additional £10 per person. Freight Island’s live-music and event programme changes constantly, so it is worth checking what is happening on the group’s date before choosing a sitting.
