Leven
A Canal Street warehouse with somewhere to put twelve suitcases. Exposed brick, kitchens and Canal Street outside the door.
LEVEN is what happens when an old Manchester warehouse gets turned into somewhere you’d quite happily move into. The 42 rooms and suites keep the building’s exposed brick, timber floors and big industrial windows, then soften things with good furniture, proper mattresses and bathrooms that feel considerably more considered than your average city hotel.
For groups, the interesting bit starts beyond the standard bedrooms. Living Space suites add separate sitting areas, while the larger penthouses come with kitchens and significantly more room to spread out. At the top end, Living the Dream is a two-bedroom duplex apartment measuring 95 sq m and sleeping four.
Downstairs, the lobby bar gives you somewhere sociable that doesn’t involve twelve people balancing drinks around somebody’s suitcase. The Canal Street location also means dinner, drinks and nightlife are effectively on the doorstep.
LEVEN sits where Chorlton Street meets Canal Street, right in Manchester’s Village and within easy walking distance of Chinatown, the Northern Quarter and the city-centre shops. Piccadilly Station is only a few minutes away. The trade-off is noise: this is one of the city’s livelier nightlife pockets, especially at weekends.
Features
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by noon. LEVEN is directly beside Canal Street, so weekend street noise is a genuine consideration and the hotel provides earplugs. Some apartment-style categories have full kitchens and washing machines. The £97 calculator rate is temporary because TAAP had no inventory for the research dates.

Great atmosphere and somewhere to actually chill and have a blast with friends.
They even gave us a late checkout with no additional fee when we asked.
The bar area is tiny and the few tables only seat 2 so bit difficult for us to sit together.
