VibeParty-friendly

Moxy Dublin City is the sort of hotel that assumes you probably didn’t come to Dublin to sit quietly in your room. The lobby doubles as the bar and check-in desk, there’s food around the clock, and the whole place leans deliberately social rather than hushed-and-boutique.

The room mix is unusually helpful for groups. Alongside queens and twins, there are proper three-single-bed rooms plus queen-and-sofa options, which gives you more flexibility than a hotel filled entirely with doubles. Rooms are compact, though, with wall-mounted storage rather than wardrobes, so this is better for people travelling reasonably light.

The bar is the real communal space: cocktails, games, snacks and enough seating to make regrouping easy before heading out. Add O’Connell Street, Trinity and Temple Bar within walking distance and you have a very straightforward group base that doesn’t require anyone to become weekend transport coordinator.

Sleeping arrangements

  • Queen Rooms sleep two, while Twin Rooms give friends two separate single beds.
  • Moxy Sleeper Triple rooms have three single beds, making them one of the most useful room configurations for a Dublin group weekend.
  • Queen & Sofa and accessible sofa-room categories add another sharing option, although exact adult sofa-bed occupancy should be confirmed when booking.

Location

Moxy sits just off O’Connell Street on Sackville Place, putting the north and south sides of central Dublin within easy reach. The Liffey, Henry Street and Temple Bar are all walkable, while Connolly Station and nearby Luas stops make arrivals and anything further out straightforward. For a group, it is a very practical base: central enough to move around mostly on foot, but slightly removed from the loudest Temple Bar streets when everyone eventually decides the night is over.
