VibeParty-friendly

Moxy Glasgow Merchant City is for the group that would rather meet at the bar than send twelve separate “what room are you in?” messages. Check-in happens at Bar Moxy, with big sofas, games and food available around the clock, so the lobby actually earns its keep.

Upstairs, Twin Sleepers give two friends proper separate beds, while the larger Moxyfied Family Sleeper adds a queen bed, pull-out sofa and a separate living area. The standard rooms are compact and storage is clever rather than generous, so this is not the weekend to pack for every possible version of Scottish weather.

The location does the rest. Merchant City is right outside, High Street station is basically next door, and the hotel is already being sold specifically for Glasgow hen weekends. It’s practical, lively and very easy to use — without needing the hotel itself to become the whole night out.

Sleeping arrangements

  • Moxy Twin Sleeper rooms have two proper single beds, so nobody has to discover how close a friendship really is at 1am.
  • Moxy Queen Sleeper rooms are made for two, while Moxyfied Family Sleepers add a queen bed, pull-out sofa and separate living space.
  • If you want more room for bags and getting ready, the Family Sleeper is the obvious choice. For three adults sharing, check the exact bed setup when booking.

Location

Moxy sits on High Street at the edge of Merchant City, with George Square, Trongate and the bars around Merchant City all an easy walk away. High Street station is practically next door, which is useful for whoever misses the train everyone else agreed on. Buchanan Street and the city-centre shops are straightforward on foot too. It’s central without dropping you into Sauchiehall Street chaos, and once everyone has checked in, most of the weekend can happen without opening Uber.

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by noon, with luggage storage available if everyone’s train times have gone rogue. Bedrooms are deliberately compact, with clever hanging space rather than giant wardrobes. Every floor has an ironing room, and there’s no onsite parking, although Duke Street Car Park is nearby. The hotel is already used for hen bookings, but any group-specific deposit or behaviour-bond terms should be checked separately before sale.
