VibeDesign-led

Treehouse is the hen-friendly hotel in disguise. Think bold, playful colour that gives a slight Alice-in-Wonderland energy. New(ish) to Manchester, it’s a design-led stay that nails that rare sweet spot of playful without being childish.

From the second you walk into reception — bright, welcoming, quietly buzzy — you get the point: this is a stay built around details. There’s even a little shop tucked inside for last-minute bits, which sounds minor until the bride needs a safety pin.

Downstairs and up on the roof, there are multiple places to eat, drink or wait for the person who has somehow only just started curling her hair. It feels social without making the bedroom itself part of the party, and the city-centre location makes it an incredible option.

Sleeping arrangements

  • Two Queens and Lookout Two Queens sleep up to four in two queen beds, making them the most useful standard rooms for sharing without relying on sofa beds.
  • Studio and Lookout Studio Suites sleep up to three, with a super king plus sofa bed and a separate seating area.
  • Connecting Studio Suites can sleep up to six across two rooms, while other connecting combinations are also publicly listed.

Location

Treehouse puts you on Blackfriars Street, right between Manchester’s shopping core and the bars and restaurants around Deansgate and Spinningfields. It is central enough that most of the weekend can happen on foot, which is exactly what you want when twelve people are leaving the hotel at twelve slightly different times. The Arndale, Northern Quarter and main nightlife areas are all straightforward from here, while Manchester Victoria is also nearby for anyone arriving by train.

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. Bookings of more than nine rooms may be subject to different policies. The standard Cosy and Lookout King rooms are fairly compact, so they are not the ones to prioritise for several people attempting hair, make-up and open suitcases simultaneously.

My daughter booked it as a birthday surprise for me. It was even lovelier than I thought it was going to be.

June 2026

Whilst the cosy double and king rooms are quite small, everything is so well designed.
