Brewhemia is useful precisely because subtlety has never entered the conversation. Right beside Waverley, it is huge by Edinburgh standards, with long tables, multiple bars and a programme built around live music, DJs and proper big-room energy rather than asking a hen group to politely squeeze into the corner.
The practical win is scale. Twelve people do not feel like they have taken over the venue, and having a reserved table or drinks area gives everyone a base before the night naturally fragments into bar trips, dancing and somebody disappearing to the bathroom for 25 minutes.
