Zenith Brunch and Cocktails
Príncipe Real | ££ | ALL-DAY CROWD-PLEASER
Fresh from a February 2026 refresh, Zenith is back on the list: warehouse-y but warm: exposed brick, metal details, pendant lighting, and more greenery than you’ll know what to do with. It’s loud, lively, and one of the few brunch spots in Lisbon that’s actually big enough to handle a group. The menu is shamelessly crowd-pleasing, and the colourful, stacked-up plates are basically asking to be posted on your story. It’s all-day, so it works whether you’re an early bird or a 1 pm-in-sunglasses kind of group.
Good to know: It’s popular-popular, so expect a wait at weekends — or reserve via their booking page. There are a few Zeniths, so make sure you’re booked for Rua do Telhal.
Rua do Telhal 4A, 1150-346 Lisboa
Nicolau Lisboa
Chiado | ££ | PRETTY PLATES, EASY WIN
Nicolau is a Chiado brunch staple: central, bright, and reliably good. The room’s lively without being chaotic, and the menu is exactly what you want for a girls’ weekend: broad, crowd-pleasing, and zero-risk. Eggs, pancakes, bowls, toast situations, and strong coffee. Everyone finds something. Nobody compromises. Like Zenith, they also take reservations, so it’s a good option when you’re trying to plan a Lisbon hen weekend and don’t want to take the queue gamble. It’s the kind of bright, easy brunch stop that feels like you’ve got your day together (even if you don’t).
Good to know: Reserve online for up to 6 people. If you’re running late, they’re explicit that your table can be reassigned, message/call, don’t gamble.
Rua de Sao Nicolau 17, 1100-547 Lisboa

Noobai
Bairro Alto | ££ | DAYTIME DRINKS WITH A VIEW
Noobai is Lisbon’s closest thing to a UK-style boozy brunch. Perched right on Miradouro de Santa Catarina with panoramic views over the Tagus River, this rooftop spot is a hidden gem that almost certainly won’t stay hidden for long. To manage expectations, it’s not the most aesthetic. It’s a straightforward terrace where the view does the heavy lifting. Sunny terrace tables, a set brunch menu, and two hours of mimosas. Food is more “keep you going” than “best brunch I’ve ever had,” and the service can be a little slow, but honestly, the view balances it out.
Good to know: It gets rammed when the weather’s good. If you’re more than six, either book ahead (when possible) or go earlier. Also, it can get breezy; bring an extra layer if you’re not visiting in the summer.
Miradouro de Santa Catarina s/n, 1200-401 Lisboa
Fauna and Flora
Santos | ££ | CALM, LEAFY RESET
Fauna & Flora is a softer brunch moment. Leafy, light-filled, and quietly excellent, it’s perfect when you want to feel wholesome before the rest of the day. The room feels calm but not boring, and the menu leans feel-good and fresh: eggs, pancakes, bowls, lighter plates, and strong coffee. As the name suggests, there are a lot of green options, but the pancakes are also 10/10 if you’re anything like me (need breakfast with a side of sugar). Ideal for a girls’ weekend reset when everyone needs fuel without going heavy straight away. Great for smaller groups, less great if you’re trying to shuffle twelve people in at 12:30 on a Saturday.
Good to know: No reservations, go early if you’re more than four, or be ready to split and regroup later.
Rua da Esperanca 33, 1200-655 Lisboa

Dear Breakfast
Chiado | ££ | THE PRETTY ONE (THAT’S STILL NICE)
Dear Breakfast is pretty brunch done right: pastel interiors, photogenic plates, and a buzzy atmosphere that makes you want to go back. It’s also a bit of a Lisbon institution at this point: a small chain with three branches across the city, and Chiado is the most central and always my go-to. It’s on a steep hill, but if that’s a deal-breaker, Lisbon might not be your city. Expect a queue (it’s part of the experience), but it goes quickly and is worth it in the end. Their set brunch deal is a girls’ trip winner: croissant + main dish + cocktail + coffee for €24, which feels suspiciously fair for how good it actually is.
Good to know: Afterwards, head to PARK, the rooftop bar on top of a car park (trust me). It’s an easy post-brunch pivot: sunlight, views over the city, and that one drink quickly turns into four….

Heim Cafe
Santos | ££ | COSY RECOVERY BRUNCH
Tucked away on Rua Santos-o-Velho, you’ll find Heim. Heim means home, which tracks—that’s exactly how it feels. Cosy, calm, and comforting, and very far from boozy. Coffee comes first, and the whole place has that unfussy, gentle energy, with a mixed crowd that ranges from locals on laptops to quietly hungover girls’ trips. The menu covers all the bases, but I’d order the French toast again in a heartbeat. It’s the kind of place where conversation goes quiet for the first few minutes while everyone re-enters society.
Good to know: It’s on the smaller side, so weekends can mean a bit of a wait.
Rua de Santos-o-Velho 2 e 4, 1200-812 Lisboa
Mama Shelter Lisboa
Principe Real | ££ | BIG-GROUP SAFETY NET
Mama Shelter is a full 180 from your slow, cosy brunch spots — louder, faster, brighter, and built for maximum momentum. And yes, there’s something mildly funny about flying to Lisbon and ending up brunching at a chain hotel… but when that brunch comes with rooftop energy and cocktails, it’s hard to be precious about it. It’s big, colourful, high-energy, and completely unfazed by groups. No squeezing six chairs around a café table and pretending it’s fine. Food is generous, the atmosphere is upbeat, and it’s an easy option if you’re planning a hen weekend.
Good to know: Brunch is in the main restaurant, and rooftop reservations are separate — they don’t take bookings for the rooftop, so treat it as first-come, first-served for the views.
Rua do Vale de Pereiro 19, 1250-270 Lisboa

The Folks
Chiado | ££ | COOL-CROWD BRUNCH
The Folks is the cool-girl brunch with polish. Stylish without being stiff, with a relaxed-but-put-together crowd that’s more iced latte and sunglasses than full boozy brunch chaos. Menu-wise, it’s classic brunch done neatly: eggs, toast situations, sweet bits, the sort of plates that look good but still do the job. It’s a great ad when you want something a touch cooler than the big mainstream spots, but still reliable enough for a girls’ weekend.
Good to know: It’s better for smaller to mid tables — if you’re a group, give it a miss. Afterwards, drift to Black Sheep for a wine bar sit that can easily become a bottle.
Rua dos Sapateiros 111, 1100-051 Lisboa
Cafe Janis
Cais do Sodré | ££ | DAY-TO-NIGHT DRIFT
Neighbourhood is Aussie café energy done in a Lisbon way: specialty coffee that actually wakes you up, a menu that covers both health and carbs, and a very come-as-you-are feel. They’ve got two locations, but Santos is the girls’ weekend pick, brunch here, a wander after, then drift towards the river like it was always the plan. You’ll be hard-pressed to find many locals, but you will find an eclectic mix of tourists, traveller and staff who are genuinely friendly. Indoor seats, window perches, outdoor tables; it’s built for lingering.
Good to know: Walk-in only (no reservations). Brunch runs 08:30–15:00. If you’re more than six, go earlier or be ready to split and regroup.
